<div class="IPBDescription">pistol attachment and diffrent to MT!</div>I know, there will be motion tracking, but you can say the same about the grenades and the grenade launcher.
But the default Motion Tracker only works if the aliens move (in ns1)
I think about a attachment to the pistol(every marine can buy it), this "tracking device" looks like a round "hockey Puck" just smaller.

If a marine shoot it to a alien, the alien get a motion logo on his hud?
To prevent some issues, the TD can only be attached to the body.bip.
And the Marines see the Alien blinking on the minimap.
Other Skulks can "bite" and destroy the tiny tracking device.
The Skulk can destroy it byhimself if he go into water or get shot?
Just an idea, trolls have fun to flame here...like always.
P.S. whats about buyable flares?

But skulks don't have parasite anymore so I don't see a point in adding this.
I like that "third eye" idea. MT was allways overpowered in my oppinion. sure, i didnt want to miss it, but it was still something the marines shouldnt have.
It's like playing battleships with the enemy's field visible.

The third eye of scent of fear is very similar to motion tracking. This is just short range motion tracking.
Even if it just shows up on the minimap, I would say that it serves its purpose.

Is motion tracking and scent of fear in NS2?

I dont remember which game, but you had a pack you could deposit somewhere and monitor the area - and detonate it remotely. that's why I used that name, its very similar.
motiontracking the way it is just rubs me the wrong way, it's like a cybernetic hivemind that doesnt report to the aliens.
once mt is finished the game is literally reversed since the marines start to ambush aliens most of the time, and thats just wrong.
i rather want to have to put down a sensor here and there than having the omnipotent all seeing eye.
it should be able to be used even on infestation, but then it doesnt stick to walls and ceillings and simply drops to the floor, glowing bright on screen of aliens.
