<div class="IPBDescription">talking about game modes (lua)</div>I know its very hard kids, but please no spam or trolling!


In this Thread i want to hear your ideas for some game modes, maybe if the game is released, some people with good lua skills don´t have good ideas, thats why this thread is for.

I start with an example, which is known already.

<u><b>The Last man Standing</b></u>

In this mode everybody start as marine, except 1 player, he will be randomly choosen and join the alien team.
I don´t know, maybe he can choose his alien lifeform before he spawn.
The timer is 10 minutes?
If the Timer runs out, the marines have won and every "alive" marine get a point.
When the alien player kill a marine, he will automatic join the alien.
If all marines are dead, the alien player get a point.

The marines have only the knife, pistol and lmg (or if no knife, they hit with the gun).
How to get ammo?
If a marine die, he drops a ammo pack.

Maybe the alien has from start on a cloak or silence ability?

<u><b>Last Squad standing</b></u>
Everyplayer can choose his team, alien or marine but there is a limit of 2.
Which means 16 players with 4 marine Teams and 4 alien teams?
Everybody fights against the other teams.
Maybe there are only marine teams because skulks are to easy to kill?
No spawning, no buying, no commander, no ressources, just last team standing.
The team which be alive at the end, have won and earn points.
Very simple gameplay, but maybe fun? yeah sounds like the first example...blah blah

<u><b>Command and defeat</b></u>
For this mod, new maps are needed.
You know, there will be auto-welding things.
So i will use this for the units of the game.
There are up to 4 marine commanders?
No aliens because a alien a.i. would be to heavy, a marine is simple, walking and shooting :P.

The gameplay is like command and conquer, the maps must be bigger but they are still indoor maps?
Because i guess no outdoors are posible.
What ever, you can build:

Start ressources are (all numbers are just for show, nothing gameplay!):

Clone station (Barracks): | Cost: 300
This station is like the barracks of command and conquer, which spawns "robot a.i." they shoot if they see a enemy, and you can command them like the auto siege will be(?).
Soldier 1: LMG | Build time 15 seconds | Cost: 10
Soldier 2: HMG | Build time 18 seconds | Cost: 20
Soldier 3: Flammer (good against many marines) | Build time 25 seconds | Cost: 30
Soldier 4: Grenade launcher (good against structures and vehicles) | Build time 30 seconds | Cost: 15

Obsevatory(radar):
Cost: 150
With this you can see the map and it scan the "radius" of your base for enemys (shown as red dots on the map)

Ressource tower:
Cost: 75
Maybe the a.i. can´t build them, which means they are builded automatic done after e.g. 15 seconds.

research station:
Cost: 175
Upgrade 1: Level 1-5, Improve the Armor of the infantry units | Cost: 50
Upgrade 2: Level 1-5, Improve the Speed of the infantry units | Cost: 50
Upgrade 3: Level 1-5, Improve the Firepower of the infantry units | Cost: 50
Upgrade 4: Level 1-5, Improve the Armor of the vehicle units | Cost: 75
Upgrade 5: Level 1-5, Improve the Speed of the vehicle units | Cost: 75
Upgrade 6: Level 1-5, Improve the Firepower of the vehicle units | Cost: 75


turrets:
Cost: 100
you know them, no explain.

war factory:
Cost: 250
With this you can build "vehicles" like tanks (auto siege bot shoots mg now.)

its only a very fast example, it needs a lot of improvement, just take a look here <a href="http://planetcnc.gamespy.com" target="_blank">here</a> for examples.
