texture creation

    New to Gimp or new to one of the tools of NS2? With Gimp I can help you out, but can it edit .dss-format?

    I need help creating textures, Im using gimp 2.6 with a dds plugin to create textures, I think that the dds plugin won't accept layers so I'm merging them together and exporting. So far none have been illuminating or opaque. The transparency layer is showing up black in the editor.
