Uh, you're becoming more like FocusedWolf more and more. Do you know what a "siege cannon" is? If so, then why even make that post? It makes no sense. It makes you look silly and ignorant and further discredits you.
Moving on.
If you're comparing a gorge's "spit," Skulk's "parasite" and lerk "spores" to marine weapons, you're grasping at smoke here. Thats quite a stretch
Also, not sure if you know this, but Acid Rocket is hive 3, which means its GG anyways.

If you believe that those alien attacks are quite a stretch to compare to marine attacks, then a support class K9 for marines would be a quite a stretch compared to alien classes.
Also, I've seen a lot of "it doesn't really count because it requires 3 hives" as of lately. That doesn't matter and I believe that to be besides the point. I'm sure you wouldn't care if I said "a robot dog wouldn't work without a 2 comm chairs (based my previous suggestions)."
Now, I'd like to see some good ideas from you besides "this idea would be improved by being removed completely" (actual PSA quote from first page)

You're trying too hard to implement something that doesn't belong to the ns universe, and it isn't only about this idea.
Honestly I think if they get intergalactic space travel by that point, they'd at least get a machine that could potentially do the job better (in terms of picking up stuff). It's pratically to have a human being in the front over some robot in the station because of all the weird situations and terrains that a person can cover quickly and efficiently. Dog's can't climb ladders, robots don't have natural flexibility (most machine in sci-fi themes are hard metals). Also, dogs are normally conditioned by humans, but in a life or death situation like that I'd be willing to be they'd be even worse than how the marines are already off.

I've posted and contributed to several ideas in the more "traditional fashion" that you may be thinking of. But some ideas are better left not-implemented, such as K9 attack dogs. Sorry I got so harsh with my phrasing, but it just sounded absurd, and it still does 2 pages later. zh' put it nicely.
You don't get more points for just churning out ideas with disregard.

I have no ideas that would make this concept acceptable. Quite frankly, I don't there are any ideas that would make the K9 acceptable here.
