Hallo!

Good to see new NS2 community sites springing up, but please keep everything in English one these forums.

Now this obviously gives me a right to speak Finnish on ENSL forums without being moderated, does it not?! :>

OK. Sorry. I just thought that when you make a "community" thread like this, you should be able to talk in both languages. If there was any offensive content in Norwegian, I would report it. This thread should'nt attract anyone else than Norwegians, and I personally don't see the issue, and don't see why any non-Norwegian people would hit such thread. This is not any "random Norwegian" thread, it's a thread started to build up a Norwegian community, and to help Natural-Selection grow in our country. However, I do respect the rules, and we will continue in English if this satisfy the moderators. Personally I again don't see the issue, when I clearly stated that I will report any offensive content written in Norwegian... It's sad, but OK.

Actually, I was bout to say the same thing as Insane, but didn't (I knew a mod would eventually step in). I have a personal pet peeve with this as I spend 2+ hours a day on public transport with people yammering on in every language other than English. I'm sure none of it is offensive content, nor does it concern me; however it is very much an etiquette thing. If you are in a society, e.g. a forum, whose official communication is in a certain language then it is incumbent upon you to keep all communications in that language unless for some extenuating circumstances it is not possible.

It just comes down to the fact that, on a forum of this size, unless everything is kept in a single language it makes it very difficult to effectively moderate. I believe that you mean what you say when you talk about reporting offensive content, but as someone who does not speak a word of Norwegian, I have no way of confirming that for myself. It's also worth bearing in mind that this has always been an English-speaking site, and you can probably expect anyone who sees this thread to at least have enough of a grasp of English to realise that there's a Norwegian NS2 community building up.

I do however think it's cool that you're doing this. Good luck!
