this makes ns2 test map look pro and doom 3 look crap

    Doom 3 is like 6 years old at this point.

    I hope NS2 has decent lighting.

    Doom 3 was terrible in that regard. Amazing graphic are not impressive if you can see any of it.

    Not much can beat the Doom games. As for Doom 3 it was decent, I guess.
    I still don't understand why you try to compare these two. They are two entirely different games.

    both inside, scfi, dark games, fps with shot guns.

    and i guese most ns players were interested in doom

    Actually for the time Doom 3 lighting was amazing, being all dynamic. The level designers however had to keep lighting low to keep performance high and to keep the atmosphere of Doom.

    NS2 could easily be the same if the level designer doesn't put many lights in their maps.
