Hey, I have some issue when I play ns and I don't know what causes it.
When I'm playing NS my computer freezes totally, pushing buttons don't do anything. At first the picture just freezes (ingame picture), but after maybe 10secods the screen tilts totally like this:
<img src="http://nikita.tnnet.fi/~drc/DSCF0109.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />
I have tried to find an answer with google and from these forums, but haven't had any luck.
I have AMD Athlon 64X2 processor and ASUS M2NPV-VM motherboard running Windows XP.
I use the onboard Graphics to play NS.

It looks like it is some kind of fatal error, which can be the result of lots of things like a hard drive failure (damaged sector), damage memory making the computer unable to allocated memory and as a result crash or the graphics card overheating and crashing (in your case chipset) and so much more...
I'd say try and do a few things to test all of these components to see if you can recreate the error outside of NS, using <a href="http://www.memtest86.com/" target="_blank">memtest</a>, <a href="http://www.datarecovery.com.sg/data_recovery/bad_sector_on_hard_disk.htm" target="_blank">a bad sector test for the HDD</a>, graphics test like <a href="http://www.madonion.com/index.action" target="_blank">mad onion futuremark benchmark software</a>, to try and overheat the chipset and see if it crashes, then it would be a heat problem, probably cause by dust or something...
heck it could even be software related (spyware,adware,virusses) not to mention it could be the result of a bad power supply unit, which can result in some very weird errors...
Just check all those stuff (google is your friend) to eliminate all things that do not cause this problem...
