Sensory towers distorting the marine commander's view

Just a quick thought - Maybe sensory towers somehow affecting, either by blacking out parts of the commander's view or distorting marine signals and communication, etc, would be a good idea? Maybe as a separate kind of sensory tower?

Well in the original Natural Selection, Sensory Towers cloaked nearby structures. It applied to Commander View as well, in order for any Marine (including the Commander) to see the structures they would use a Satcom Scan in the area. Of course, this used to be circumvented by Siege Turrets "shooting blind", at invisible structures. This of course was balanced later to force Commanders to "see" the structure a Siege Turret was shooting at.

I like the communication interference idea though, especially if it could be tied into Voice Communication (although unlikely due to it being handled by an outside program, ie Steamworks).

Hindering communications isn't nice. It can be circumvented through external voice communication and it fights the whole core idea of teamworking in general.
