    Collision detection would be part of the engine.

    There are clearly physics though, what with the targets collapsing into pieces when shot and all, so it's probably just not in at the moment.

    Collision how? Things fall on the ground, you don't go through the wall, bullets hit things.

    Collision detection is there, anything that should collide but doesn't obviously just doesn't have it enabled.

    It is part of the engine, but not coded relative to game elements, therefore, not present at the moment.
