<div class="IPBDescription">Official Thread</div>So i finally cracked and bought the damn game during the steam sale this weekend. So far been pugging the coop campaign's for a bit and it's fun so i don't regret the purchase. So where/what does everyone play? I noticed a plethora of game modes and haven't yet had time to check them all out. Where do the majority of players reside?

    I'd like to play any gamemode as long as there are good players involved. I don't mean über leet crackshots, I mean people who understand a bit about communication, teamwork and who don't ragequit if they get killed or even incapacitated. The average player I've encountered meets maybe one of those qualities. I'd want to play the campaigns on expert, but no way in hell I'm going to try to get a PUG for that.

    The meat of the game is easily versus (where you'll find most games I'm sure) and/or a game with friends, just as with the first. Indeed it tends to work ever in most dire conditions, such as lack of mic or decent players.

    As for my two cents on the game: the mechanics are great, graphics good-looking, dialogue entertaining, really the only thing that can make you regret it is humanity itself. And buying the first game, because it's essentially a big expansion pack.

    I require more friends to play with. Not stupid idiots that matchmaker puts me with.

    Also, people that use microphones. Oh gods microphones are a requirement.

    Anyways, Versus is where I hang if I'm not achievement whoring Campaign. Haven't done much Scavenger (i.e. haven't tried it period).

    According to Steam Stats Stuff (don't recall link to article) they claim Campaign and Versus are the 2 most played modes. Campaign for co-op madness. Versus for let's bash other people's heads in and show who's boss.

    I was using the matchmaker up untill this evening when i found out i could join stuff through my steam groups so i played some 16 player coop on expert, which was rather fun. I do however hate the fact that pretty much every public server i played on tonight using buy menu's and has low gravity on :/ It reminds me of combat with all that xmenu crap.

    L4D is grand fun with people you have at least a passing acquaintence with, but otherwise it gets a little dull.

    Don't like versus, don't like playing infected or having to deal with crap odds as survivors.
