Any way to connect forum account to NS2 purchase?

I just purchased NS2 SE, and so I figured I'd create a forum account. Is there any way to link the purchase I made to my forum account? I entered my SteamID in my account, but there doesn't seem to be any way yet to link the purchase with Steam.

    All pre-orders will carry to steam but not atm, it should very soon though.

    Also theres no way to link purchase to forum account.

    There's no way to do this YET - it's entirely possible such a function will be added to the game, if the devs feel enough people want it...

    Why exactly do you want to do this? I know MMOs do it so that when you're unsubbed, you can't ###### and moan without paying. Even the Steam forums don't do this.

    They had a forum icon and in game score board icon for constellation members who donated towards NS1. People enjoy the recognition and the icon can provide incentive to preorder. They are giving away the black armor to those who paid more, so the natural extension to this would be to add a second icon to the forums/scoreboard to those who bought the special edition/preorder.

    I wouldn't mind a little icon that gets added if you verify your NS2 purchase, so that we can tell who is ###### but hasn't even bought the game.

    Right now (I honestly have no idea if it will change), purchases are tied to emails and not forum accounts.
