I figured I'd post these just because of how funny they look, (not that these are the real or final animations, I'm sure these were just made experimenting with the animations or something.)
This is is supposed to be a Tech Point after a hive was built over it I suppose. The animation is pretty cool, my guess is that once the hive is built over the tech point, the tentacles come down and rip over the metal exposing the point.

Must be an inside joke... I lol'd. =D

lol, It appears that the character rigging is incomplete. The 'skeleton' is not completely set up so, some of the elements (vertices, planes and lines) from the character model seem to distort. This is typical WIP.
I thought it was weard but I figured that most of the animations are the way they are on their own because Animation Blending makes them look normal again.
Heh. That jetpack animation doesn't display properly in the viewer because it's an "overlay" animation, which is meant to be played on top of another animation.
Eventually we'll probably add the ability to play multiple animations in the viewer so this looks correct but the game is a priority right now.

Hey, the ragdoll physics look great but what was the reasoning to choosing Ragdoll physics over NaturalMotion? So many games use Ragdoll physics and I think its a shame there aren't more NaturalMotion physic games like GTA4. Everything looks so natural, real, dynamic, fun etc...
For people who haven't seen NaturalMotion euphoria before, heres a wicked video: http://www.naturalmotion.com/euphoria.htm
This is also something I would like to see implemented into Fighting games like tekken, street fighter etc.

Also would those effects also work on a 4 legged beast like an onos?

I'm not quite sure how much it costs and having it worked for a 4 legged beast might be an issue... not sure how it all works. I can imagine its possible. It seems one of the things NaturalMotion boasts is the AI ability to try and regain balance... so for a 4 legged beast I wonder how that plays out. If they want to roll this out everywhere though you'd think they had already accounted for this sort of thing :D Imagine a game where you hunt elephants, deer etc, you can't have half ragdoll and half NaturalMotion! :D
I'd like to hear from the developers about this as I've always wondered why everyone isn't jumping on the bandwagon for NM :P

What is great about ragdolls would be that they DO fall according to physics and not use their muscles, as that simulates dead bodies better.
nice check guys
Sorry, the sequence was just too perfect.
