Who here does it?
I've been Lucid Dreaming for about 2, almost 3, years now.

Lucid Dreaming is the act of becoming aware that you are dreaming, and taking control of your dreams.

One of the most common ways to attempt to become Lucid is by doing the WILD (Wake Initiated Lucid Dream) technique, which a tutorial on how to do so can be found here.

The link also provides more tutorials and guides on things related to Lucid Dreaming and Dreaming in general.

So, does anyone have any special Lucid Dreams they want to share here?

Also, if you have any questions, feel free to ask here or at the website provided above.

I've only done it by accident...and every time, I'm in some sort of situation where I'm holding onto dear life on a ledge or something. As I'm holding on, I realize I'm dreaming and I just let go. I have a blast on the way down, and once I hit, I get up, climb back to where I was, and I jump again.

I often realize I'm dreaming when I am, and I've influenced my dreams before, but generally speaking, I prefer to see where they go on their own.

    Exactly this.

Many times I have dreamed about being somewhere anywhere (like in a parc) and start jumping and jumping again higher and higher when I realise it's a dream I just keep going and decide to go really high and sometimes I'm somewhere that I know and can see houses, people and stuff (like a google map street view zooming out to an arial view). I just love those.

I dont lucid dream regularly, atleast I think so (I am not great at remembering my dreams), but yeah its a great thing to do. Maybe I should train on it, but I am to lazy to :P.

Speaking of sleeping, how many here can fall asleep almost immediatelly and how many are like me and take 30-60 minutes?

Depends, sometimes I'm out within 10minutes.

I often lucid dream. But typically weirdness occurs. For example I go "oh, it's a dream, I bet I can fly!" except there's also the part of the brain going "physic! you can't fly!" which then I compromise with the "if I kick off the ground hard enough I can fly, then kinda pull up like an airplane". This all then occurs.

Other ones are where I get mad and try to punch someone. Except then I wake up.

Basically, I suck at keeping lucid dreams dreams without overthinking and waking myself up. =] Plus, since I know this, I try not to overthink and keep myself asleep, except that ends up being like someone telling you to not think about monkey.

Had a lucid dream once, after I got used to do reality checks frequently, for example count the fingers on your hands, in dreams they're screwed up most times :D but you will probably feel something is wrong when you get used to question the reality. I saw an open window and wanted to fly, but then I wasn't as sure anymore that this wasn't reality so I didn't jump :( well I have to repeat it, was a great experience :D

ah and had a dream a while ago that I could fly, it wasn't easy though xD didn't realize it was a dream but I really enjoyed it xD

60 minutes min, that makes lucid dreaming difficult... Not much sleep

You could try to shout "INCREASE LUCIDITY!", according to wiki shouting helps it to stay (havent tried myself).

I take long time to fall asleep, I googled on how to fall asleep, but the most effective way I found so far is a kind of meditation, but that kinda only buys me 10-5 mins.
I think what mess it up the most for me is irregular sleep shedule. Att weekends I go to sleep at 2:00, at school days I go to sleep at around 22:00-1:00, and waking up range from 6:30 to 7:00 on school days, and 12:00-14:00 on weekends (holidays its more like go to bed at 5, wake up at 17).

So, for this to work. I have to guess my REM cycles with an alarm clock in the middle of the night? I've seen special alarmclocks that measure your pulse and can wake you in different REM states but it feels a bit extreme getting one of those.

I've tried some less detailed tuts how to get lucid dreams but always failed. Those which I enter by accident makes me go all like "Oh shiiiii iam lucid dreaming oh yea! ###### I woke up". I always get so excited :P

You have probably read this before, but it doesn't look like a bad tut. You need to do reality checks all the time in rl or at least if something seems odd, otherwise you will hardly get a lucid dream just because dreams feel very real.

reminds me of this song which is about a guy who thought he could fly if he harnessed the energy of a crowded street. Of course the song was a product of drug-influenced thinking, not dream-influenced thinking, but they're not that different in the end =P

pretty much most of my dreams when I was little were lucid. It'd get to the point where I'd start planning what I was going to dream before I went to bed :p
I can't remember when I stopped doing it. Not sure how hard it'd be to get back into it as I've never thought to try. I do remember it being a lot of fun though :3

As for getting to sleep... it varies lots. Back when I dabbled with meditation it was easy and when I'm tired it's usually instant. If I've got something on my mind you're looking more at the 30-60 minute mark you guys were talking about: an active mind will often keep you awake.

Yeah, our problem is that we are to smart XD. But really, if you think that of your biggest problem I can tell you it really helps to have a piece of paper and pen right next to your bed. Let you write down stuff for tomorrow.

About thinking of what to dream, its a great thing. I often do that, it actually works, somewhat, and it makes problem solving easy in the sleep. Such as when I have problem with coding/math, I can the next day know exactly how to solve it. Or when I got left 4 dead, I made myself dream about slaying zombies and such.
I think the thing about me deciding what to dream also makes me never have nightmares, that or I just arent like other people and therefor dont get scared those times I dream of zombie assaults and running out of ammo with zombies feasting on me.

Somewhat by accident, though 'keying' tends to help. The old adage about pinching yourself to see if you're awake? Yeah, there are a few things in my daily routine that I'll pinch myself or bite my tongue every time. To the point where rote repetition has me doing it in my dreams, too.. and if it doesn't hurt, I'll do it harder. No pain means a dream. Helps that they're innocuous, like getting into my car, going down stairs, or running down a hall. Same thing with really weird situations... caught one about having my car stolen that way, and managed to hold onto it for a good minute or two. Doesn't catch every dream, unfortunately.. and usually when I realize that I'm dreaming and go lucid, my brain decides that it's annoyed I figured it out, and wakes me up.

Best tool I'd used was an old wind-up folding traveller's alarm clock I'd received as an heirloom from my grandmother; the ticking would regularly get through into the dream. As I said though, unfortunately some part of my brain is against me knowing when I'm dreaming... woke up from one session to find that I'd over-wound it and snapped the mainspring. Got it fixed, and the next time I'd smashed it against the nightstand.
