What do you Think/Want the new update to be?

<div class="IPBDescription">Update</div>What do you guys think the update will be about or what you want this update to be about?

I think it must be something quite important because they know the average person in this community and they know that if they say "Look for a big news announcement from us tomorrow!" (Tomorrow being Today) we WOULD be really exicted for it and really wanting to know what it is.

    I'm sure everyone wants the alpha to be released; but besides that, I'd like to see some good videos/usage of dynamic infestation.

    i really doubt that alpha is the big announcement... its probably not far off but i think the announcement will be more of a mass-reveal of everything we've been waiting to see.

    Well, I would like a fade reveal to be released. I haven't seen that yet. =)

    I have a feeling that it is the reveal.

    Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they haven't been keeping the steam engine tech release up to date, so when the alpha is released, you probably will see a huge list of optimizations and stability fixes.

    You are not wrong. It hasn't been updated at all since April. So, if they do release the Alpha without updating the Enigine Test then we would see a very big difference with fixes.

    A video with the ~25 playtesters would be nice.

    Alpha is going a bit to far though. I highly doubt that it will come out but I do not work there or help them or anything similar.
    I think it could be something about the aliens becuase we have got a load of information about the marines but only a small amout about the Aliens. That is why I think it could be the Fade Reveal or something. :P

    Ya I would really like to see a release date and that seems most likely. An alpha release out of no where would be too hectic for me I have too much stuff to do today such as install my front mount intercooler on my eclipse.. and finish up enough of ns2_icarus to release my own alpha so a week or so from now would be a nice release date.

    My Sentiments exactly. An enthusiastic "big announcement tomorrow" like this sounds like it could be (to mention a few):
    -date for alpha/beta/game release
    -some big new feature being put in
    -some big change in the UWE company structure

    I think it will be an alpha release date, since they already got the ~25 tester thing going on it's reasonable to think that the alpha could be released within a few weeks.

    well they didn't have an announcement for Friday, which is usually a normal announcement - which also is usually a reveal or something similar... so I think this is something bigger than a reveal... which means a feature or something we don't have any idea bout is about to come to light.

    I bet the reveal is they plan to quit the gaming industry and turn their office into an industrial themed nightclub called 'evolution'.

    So 4 realistic probabilities:

    - 5-10 min video of the pre-alpha with the 25 testers (very awesome)
    - Release date for alpha (kinda awesome)
    - A new game changing feature (awesome)
    - A major reveal (pretty awesome)

    Nothing bad can come of this. Especially since we KNOW the alpha is coming pretty soon, I'm not too worried about seeing an actual release date.
