Graphical settings on release/alpha/beta?

I just got the pre-order of the SE edition, and played through the pre-alpha shooting ranges.
The first thing I went to obviously, as any good PC gamer should, was to jump at the option settings to customize the game to my play preference.
What I noticed immediately was the lackluster options concerning graphical settings. There was a very limited list of available resolutions, and a very simple high, medium, and low graphical settings.
As a long time PC gamer, but as well as a student (no money T_T), I am well versed in the sad but true history of the recent games in the past several years degrading continuously to support less and less options as console ports are hastily and poorly converted to the PC platform. Now, recall that I mentioned that I am a student, thus not able to afford a top of the line PC. I have always gotten the budget machine, barely meeting minimum requirements for any recent games in the industry. To properly play any games with sufficient fps (10-20 at least ><) I have always disabled some of the more robust graphical settings, such as lighting, shadow, etc.
It is in my sincere hope that the great folks at unknown worlds do not succumb to the ever going laziness and decay of effort that PC gaming has ever so horrendously suffered in the past few years. Many have abandoned the PC scene for the "kiddy/casual" consoles, but as one of the few remaining good people (I hope!) that still support PC gaming to the utmost of their abilities, I pray that you do the PC gamers justice in gracing us with a great game that is reminiscent of the prior glory days of early 2000s.
While I only mentioned the small complaint of graphical option availability, this applies to all aspects of a PC game, that is unfortunately fading to mere melancholy.
UNKNOWN WORLDS! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! KEEP THE PC GAMING SCENE ALIVE AND RUNNING!
P.S. sorry for the crazy end world is neigh rant ><

But with the constant downfall of PC gaming, one cannot help but be anxious.

He might be a terrorist. Lets shoot him just to be sure.
3rd link on the sig.
I shouldn't really worry about it, games that are made for PC tend to have options, it's console ports that usually don't.
Thanks, very much agreed to the article.
PC gaming is at a speedy decline as the gaming industry reaches the wide market of non gamers, and casuals.
