Problem loading Pre-Alpha

<div class="IPBDescription">stuck at "working"</div>So I bought the special edition and tried to activate my key through steam like the email says to. Once I entered the key and tried to proceed, steam got stuck at "Working" with an empty progress bar. Steam wasn't frozen, it just wasn't working like it claimed. Anyone know what the problem could be?
