hei, i start this thread for people that can't play like me (i have to play 640x480 to have remotely acceptable fps, and with that resolution the server browser is cut off, can't connect to servers).

so what are you doing until the next patch? i'm really looking forward to play ns2 from what i have seen :) until then i'll do what i should do, which is working and studying! i'm quite glad the alpha does not work for me ;) at least i will be productive a little longer.

It would be awesome to actually play against someone but its all good. I can start my own game and it looks pretty awesome so far! Just cant join a server yet:(

Has anyone actually managed to play? I finally got past the initial "connecting" screen, waited at the "authenticating" screen for 10 minutes, gave up

I think a lot of people are overlooking one important fact: we're playing Natural Selection 2. Maybe some of the people around here haven't been waiting for it for years, but I know I have and I am only looking more forward to it now.

I also think a lot of people are forgetting the fact that this is an <i>Alpha</i> release. If any of you expected anything at all more than what we got tonight, then you are really dillusional. More importantly, though, the mountain of feedback the devs are getting about all of the glitches and odditites about the game/engine is only going to serve to make the game better, and in a much faster pace than I think everyone is expecting.
