My game crashes after authenticating, or starting a listen server.

Hi folks.
It is exactly as it says in the title.
Just to be clear, this is not the same issue as being stuck on the "Connecting" phase of joining a server, it will stay as "Authenticating" for about 2-3 seconds before bringing up the crash report.
I find it hard to be upset, because somone has to have this problem in order to get it fixed, but there you go. <!--sizeo:5--><span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo--><b>Good work on the menu and BGM</b><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec--> too.

- update your video drivers
- lower video settings to Medium
I had the same - check the log file (it's in Documents and Settings/Application Data/Natural Selection 2). If the last message is anything to do with Video memory or CUDA, do one or both of the above.
Some other posters said they needed to drop the quality setting way below medium before they could play a level, though.
