Seriously I downloaded the patch and managed to connect to a game, and it was actually really fun.
I mean nobody can hit anyone else and GLs/lerks dominate everything else but damn if seeing a marine and a skulk teleporting randomly all over trying to hit each other with melee isn't the funniest thing I've seen in a while.
Once the prediction/lag/hit detection is fixed the alpha will probably be really awesome to play. I can sort of get an idea of what it's likely to be like at the moment, and I'm definitely having flashbacks to early versions of NS.
So yeah, really happy so far, looking forward to more features and fixes.
