Down the hole!
This is my first map, but not modeling just trying to get used to the spark editor and its objects and such. I am on and off because of life so it will be a slow pace in development on the map.
The concept:
marines get sent down into the earth to explore. They set up a base and a giant worm leaves a hole up top and in a corner, that's when the aliens start arriving.
There is going to be some light down in the tunnels and one of them has some stuff that the marines have built but not much, I suggest turning those flash lights on to survive.
6 techs / 7-8 resources not sure yet on those.
This is an alien map, will be dark with ambient lighting in areas. The holes go downwards.

You do realise that wormholes are basiclly 2 strong gravitational sources that bent space and created a connection, which if you step torugh from one side, transports you to the other kinda instantly, dont you?
I just wonder what happens if the 2 gravitational sources get so close that the wormholes touch eachothers :S.
Ah, I loved that game!
Does anyone know how to add the marine start, alien start, spectate and random screens that you see at the rr room? I cant seem to find them anywhere in spark. ????
I've almost got the marine start room done, it has a nice locker room + training room. I meant to get more done this weekend, but summer school finals are this week...:S
This would cause a reverse big bang and fold the currently expanding universe in on itself, stretching time into matter as it spins down into nothingness.
E-R bridges aren't just black holes anyhoo, they need to be spinning / charged in rather extreme manner (can't really remember that GR lecture was a bit lost) . Also you'll almost certainly get spagettified as you go through :).
Edit: Unless we're talking about those magical wormholes that have nothing to do black holes. In which case you probably don't need a gravitational source at all.
There are however - throughout sci-fi - various other types of wormhole, which are just 'folds in space time' or possibly tears, but generally don't involve cosmological scale objects to work and so don't have anything to do with E-R bridges as proposed in GR, hence 'magical' :P.
Sorry for thread derailment, some piccies might get us back on track!

It seems you plan has failed sir, these guys are talking wormhole instead of worm hole
Go take your shenanigans somewhere else, you guys! This thread is about mapping not wormhole theories
Edit: by the way, the second image is magic! That wormhole would require you to move alot faster, where as in the theory of relativity you would actually hardly move but make the entire space matter fold upon it self and do the work for you :)
