I could run it when it was released as alpha.
Ok so I just got back of a small period away from home and I have just updated NS2 from the original alpha release I had.
It worked normally previously however now I am completely unable to load NS2 without it crashing and asking me if I would like to send a bug report.
Anyone else have these problems or is it just me?

I am having EXACTLY the same problems as you.

Original Alpha worked fine for me. For example, I could build buildings as the alien or marine com.

Now I can't. Now I fall through the world all the time (didn't before).

It's *now* unplayable, when at release it was totally playable for me. There are lots of other things that just don't work anymore and it also has failed to load and so on after the patch but not before.

For me was the way around, I do had a crash with the original release but not with the update.

Perhaps not all the files got updated correctly?
    Have you verified integrity?
Did you have Physx installed? for this, if you have an nVidia card with the latest driver most probably you have it. If you use another brand, go to steam\steamapps\common\natural selection 2\redist and install it.

If this not help try to delete content and re-download the full alpha. Also delete the folder %APPDATA%\Natural Selection 2 (the content, just in case) and manually verify that the game folder is deleted too.
Of course, some people had problems doing this (search the forum), but once solved the game started normally.

As last, if nothing of this helps, look at the right side where says Feedback. You can report a problem there. Remember to provide the full error message you get.
