<div class="IPBDescription">Chaos rules?</div>The goal here is to make NS2 worth the trouble and money. We need to help the devs. That's the bleeding edge of the bite. We need a little more feedback from them. Yea I know they're busy, but how do we help with there work load. I see a lot of chaos in both the forums and getsatisfaction. I also see a lot of good work. This community has a buttload to talent. Could there be someway to connect programmers .with programmers, and graphics gurus with existing talent? Of course the answer is yes.....somehow. Just my nickel/

UWE's a commercial company, they can handle the game development just fine. We're here to test.

while i like warcraft, they have the worst orcs in any fantasy game. orcs/orks aren't meant to be a civilized people concerned with world affairs. real orcs fight for fun and repopulate from dead comrades!

I'm with you on this, but atm there doesn't seem to be much that can be done by the community other than thoroughly testing the alpha and submitting/confirming bugs in an orderly and structured fashion.

As the game gets more complete I believe that there will be people who announce mods/projects for the engine/game that they want to do, and those who are inclined to contribute will do so. Ultimately I don't think community-created content can be merged directly, but I do believe that UWE will pay close attention to what we create and integrate it into the game if possible and desirable.

In the end the engine and its tools are really open to us, we should just create stuff to our hearts content, both the community and UWE benefit.

Imagine if they made the engine open-source, and they just sold the game.

This way we could go in there and try to fix bugs and optimize it for them :P
