<div class="IPBDescription">Kind of like a flamethrower, but bacteriological</div>I suppose there must've been a gameplay reason this wasn't in NS1 since there's definitely been flamethrowers in other HL1 mods, so perhaps someone could enlighten me?
Even streams like flamethrowers I believe are coded as individual shots. They just happen very rapidly. So I would assume the Heal Spray was discretized as well. Why it was a very discrete weapon probably has to do with how most of the NS1 weaponry is easier to handle and calculate due to the very clean discrete damage values.

It's just aesthetics though?
IMO it's a bit more natural to have a creature squeeze spray out of it's body in regular bursts, rather than be running around spraying a constant stream of gas everywhere.
Make healing a blob of infestation that you can spit onto the one being healed that would emit steam as it evaporates therefore could be seen as healing aliens or damaging marines. I see a plugin in the future.
