The single most frustrating editor bug

Faces offsetting from the currently set grid when you move them. Everything else pales in comparison to how frustrating this bug is for me. This probably doesn't deserve a thread, but I figured I'd make one in memory of the monitor I just destroyed.

I remember seeing something about the move tool, which can be switched to move a face from it's origin (global center) or from a certain line or vertex, using a hotkey. I forgot how this was done though... Maybe it is in the manual or someone can come on here and tell me I'm wrong <img src="http://members.home.nl/m.borgman/ns-forum/smileys/biggrin.gif" border="0" class="linked-image" />

I think it was in a YouTube tutorial video where they talked about this option...

I have hotkeys for them, but it's in Edit -> Move/Rotate Origin Cycle.

    I also hate this bug.

This bug isn't anywhere near as frustrating as props reversing position when you move them each time. This one is fixable by easily moving the edges back in to that position again, the model one just annoys me when you can't find an axis to rotate the prop on to correctly for what you want.

well in fact, there is a solution for this problem.

you have to rotate the prop many times on the same way (from left to right for example) and finaly the prop seems to find a valid angle and doesn't reverse each time you have to move him; this tip work fine for me.

I like to trade your easily treatable face-problems with my faces that pretend to be on the grid coordinates-wise, but in fact aren't (x=100.0001 is shown as 100, for example) and leave tiny cracks (if visible at all) that screw up the occlusion culling.
This happens after you alter a face or set of faces too often.

Props rotating bug is annoying aswell. Usually happens, when you go for an y-angle of 90°. It helps to adjust and position your model with an angle of 89.5, since it doesn't switch between positions this way.

Also very annoying: Spark sometimes crashes, while I open the line tool just when the autosave is about to kick in.

I have noticed this, worst yet, one of the props I'm using won't look correct unless I do this. REAL PAIN :< Oh well, something we have to live with :>

yeah i'm with psychoman. grid snapping, rotating and nearly everything starts to go wack, even after a few adjustments. It's noticable on props cause they mysteriously change rotation by a tiny fraction of a negative exponent.
There needs to be a tool that rounds everything to the nearest 10th decimal and especially one that snaps every vert back to the nearest grid.
I pretty much only build by duplicating existing faces because new face creation tool ###### me.
