<div class="IPBDescription">Any Idea's WTH Is Going Wrong Here? (Pic)</div>So I got back from my mum's place a few hours ago after wiping her computer and doing a fresh install of Windows 7.
(Her machine had been infected with the Vundo virus. I'd saved a few of her files and drivers to my USB stick before the format.)
I'm about to copy + paste some files to + from my USB stick when I notice this:
<img src="http://www.lowstress.co.uk//_uploads/usb-stick01.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />
My first thought is "Crap.... virus." So I scan the USB stick using Malware Bytes.... 0 results. (Malware Bytes was used on my mum's
comp to detect vundo. If it marks the USB stick as clean... maybe the virus wasn't picked up from my mums pc?)
So I rescan my all drives and the USB stick... still clean.
I can't delete the files because Windows says they have an invalid file/folder name. I can't rename the folders for the same reason.
I've tried deleting them via several DOS prompts but to no avail.
Windows also insists that the files are 37 gig... it's an 8 gig USB stick. >_<
Maybe it's the USB stick's way of telling me it's nearly dead (I've used it very frequently for around 2 years.)
Or maybe they're just some left over temp files from somewhere?
Anyone got any ideas on where they came from or how to remove them?
Thanks.

I booted into safe mode and attempted to delete the folder from there but no luck.
Eventually I did move the normal files from the stick to my pc and then format the stick to remove the corrupt files.
So it appears to be sorted and fine now, thanks for the help.
try that if the windows own format wont work
