looks even witchier than the last one. I was never able to get into the first Witcher - tried it twice, got to the first city twice, got bored and that was that. I wonder if this one will hold my attention.

With boobs in the trailer, I'll be surprised if it lasts long on youtube =p

god that was a such a horrible trailer.

I always wanted to try Witcher but I never got around it to. I was really tempted to pick up the enhanced version, which was on sale at some store, but the game just seemed so massive and I didn't have a lot of free time. Surprised DiscoZombie said it was boring as it looked really good...

It wasn't really boring exactly, but I got bored anyway. It just didn't hold my attention for some reason. I think it was because I felt like I had spent hours on it and hardly got anywhere. The side quests are a little sprawling and unfocused.

I for one really enjoyed my first playthrough of The Witcher. I think I played through it twice actually, at different difficulty settings. I tried returning to it recently, but my god it felt horrible, especially if you've played more recent games like Dragon Age where the cutscenes are all well animated with lots of camera movements etc. It just felt static and dull during static conversation cutscenes. The enhanced edition brings some additional models and idle animations, but it doesn't feel that more lively.

Still, I liked the game and am looking forward to the sequel. Looks a lot more stealth oriented (actually there was no stealth at all in the first), which I hope won't play too big of a role, because to me the Witcher was all about killing lots of enemies fast and with style, not sneaking around. The alchemy was a nice touch too.

Like the new style. Some stealth is nice I guess + the new combat system looks good. By which I mean it looks like a combat system. The first was just terrible.
