Hey, i like NaSe 1 and i am very surprised how NaSe 2 will be and i pre-order it a long time ago.
So the big issue i see and i hope i just don't find the news or post about it, but please release the Dedicated Server for EVERYBODY.

I read that, but its very bad, so hoster have to purchase the game 3-7 times just for hosting the game.
I know its just for the alpha and i hope you will change this in the final version, so everybody can host a dedicated server.

you see, you do not need to purchase another copy as the dedicated server only requires steam to be running on the system where the dedicated server is running from and that steam can be running under any account name no matter if you purchased it on that account or not.
I'm sure they will release a stand alone dedicated server when it goes to beta but even with ns1 the dedicated servers still have to connect to steam servers but do not require user names and steam client to run.
I used my steam log-in to purchase the game then i used that steam name to download the files to my dedicated box, then i used my dummy account to start steam service on my dedicated box then went into C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\natural selection 2 and launched from server.exe .
if you don't have steam running under the dummy account you will get (after all the model missing errors) "Failed to load Steam ServicServiceStart: failed to startLocal server active."
Start steam under the dummy account and it will work. Then connect to steam on your PC with the account you purchased then join your dedicated server.
