<div class="IPBDescription">I hope you can live with yourselfs</div> I just recently kicked my CS addiction. Stopped hearing bullet's ricocheting off the walls next to me. Stopped squinting for snipers in the distance. Even eliminated "Negative" and "Roger That" from my speech habits. I was on the road to success **obscenity**. The sky was the limit. Then you had to go and release NS.

Now I hear the tink of skulk claws on metal grating. When I stand still I expect my hands to light up with a reassuring "Shoomp". People don't want to talk to you when your always screaming "More ammo commander!" while filling up at the gas station.

I hope you can live with yourselfs, you've monopolized all my spare CPU cycles with this damned hybrid. Get your legal team ready, I'm suing you for lost wages. On second thought I'm just going to hide on the ceiling and bite your head when you walk by. Or seige your apartment from the hallway.

Beware newbs, NS can cause loss of drive and social life. You have been warned.

    lol, i know what cs is... i' was just making fun of it because its BORING...really, go try to play it again, makes you cry....

    Since this is a Dear NS team... I have a question for you all...
    What doyou all do in real life and what education have you?

    NS was my first prolonged exposure to multiplayer halflife. Yes, I'm a freak; I only *bought* the game after I was accepted as a playtester. A few months later, after joining EC, I played an hour or so of CS with the EC guys... it made my brain hurt. It was just so unbelievably dull. No time for tactics, strategy, or any of the social elements that I *love* about NS. So simple... so boring.

    Yes, this game is a real time sucker. I wasted three days STRAIGHT on it, (estimated waste of over ten hours).

    I think I'm over it now, but still addicted... WHY COULDN'T HAVE BEEN RELEASED DURING CHRISTMAS BREAK?!?!?

I've been on 4 hours of sleep since the game came out, I tell myself every night "Ok you got work at 9am, must be asleep by 12.." and when 3 am rolls around and I'm frantically dropping ammo and health for my soilders while fending off a swarm of blood thirsty aliens.. I think to myself.. welp theres always coffee

    /me remembers back when he started CS (b4 if you care).
    It used to be a lot more tactical and team-work oriented. Then it got really popular. +(

    Heh, I'm taking Calculus right now and my quiz grades have dropped since NS came out. Oops, BRB, resource tower is under attack...

    [Edit: Teach you to knife my resource towers... Pesky marines...]

    Anyway, I start playing at like 8 PM and I keep telling myself, "Just one more game..." 2 AM sneaks up on me, and I'm still playing. Out of all the games out there, I've never played a game that's this hard to leave in the middle of. It's just so REAL!

    I started a college course, it was called 'Lifeskills'. But because I am intested in computers, they put me on internal computing (taking comps apart).

    After 3 days, I quit. My stress levels were through the roof.
    I have no friends (outside the computer).
    I do not go out, like to clubs etc.
    I see a phsycologist every fortnight.
    I am on Prozac to help with my crippling depression and stress.
    I have considered committing suicide many times.


    This is an honest plea. Do not let computers rule your lives.

    Yes, I've been thinking to myself all day long:

    "Okay, tonight I <i>really</i> have to get to bed early. I am way behind on sleep. I need to be in bed by 11! Okay ... well 12."

    And I'm sure when tomorrow morning rolls around, and i'm suckling my coffee cup while hearing turret fire in my brain, that I'll wish I had gone to bed before 2.
