Tin sheeting is cheap and can be bent with your bare hands even if you're a girly woman man. Hit it with a hammer until it's vaguely cubic, drill holes and pop some rivets in. Dead simple.

Scythe works with Tin, which is the girliest of all metals, and he thinks he's some kind of herculean blacksmith.

The girliest of all metals is actually zinc. Tin + copper = bronze, which is manly as ######. Zinc + copper = brass, a metal for ###### and weaklings.

I'll grant that tin on its own is not particularly manly, yeah. But zinc is worse.

No one uses zinc to make stuff though. You don't get like "zinc forks" or "zinc trays" or stuff.

You do get tin trays, though. Which are amazingly girly.
• lolfighterlolfighter Snark, Dire Join Date: 2003-04-20 Member: 15693Members
I remain unconvinced. Zinc is girlier than tin.

Zinc is a very healthy metal. Not sure if that makes it more or less girly, mind.
• lolfighterlolfighter Snark, Dire Join Date: 2003-04-20 Member: 15693Members
Zinc is a very unhealthy metal. It has to fight dirty by poisoning you, which just goes to show how not-manly it is. Bronze will stand up to you in a fair fight, because that's how it rolls.
• AlignAlign Remain Calm Join Date: 2002-11-02 Member: 5216Forum Moderators, Constellation
Yeah, you shouldn't try to breathe metal.
Eating a bit is good, though. also i can wikipedia too

Zinc deficiency is not a "medical condition." It's an alternate name for being manly.

Next gift I give someone, provided it's somewhat heat proof, is going to be entirely encased in a cast aluminium hollow cube. 20mm thick on all sides.

Do that one. With the right delivery, it's hilarious. With the WRONG delivery, it will cause a lasting falling-out with your family, probably followed by heavy alcoholism and suicide attempts. Also, that ended up a little darker than intended, and now I feel bad.

Nail it into a wooden crate, she will need a crowbar to open it.

Provide fake beard, labcoat and horn-rim glasses. Refuse to hand over crowbar until she dons proper attire.

Why don't you just cling film the keys to the car and act like that's her present?

Wait 'till Christmas comes around, and wrap it with the same napkin after you open your present (if it's small enough, and if you think you can get away for a minute)

Wow! Lots of replies!

My sisters gift arrived yesterday. (A dress that she singled out after 3 hours of choosing online.)

Here's what I gotta "wrap":

I've put a (damn fine) PS3 ontop so you guys can get an idea of size.

I'm thinking several layers of wrapping might be fun... If I'm feeling creative.

I'll wrap the gift on the 17th (the day I get paid) and take idea's until then. Woo!

QUICK-EDIT: I've been looking around at my current resources and my plan is to wrap the gift in clingfilm, wrap the clingfilm in newspaper, put newspaper wrapped gift in a shoebox/box, put the box in a holiday giftbag, seal giftbag with a mile of parceltape, then I'm thinking I can get 2 foil trays from work (pic below) and then encase the giftbag in those.... and then go with the suggestions from this topic.

I like ending the wrapping with something I can draw on.

Nope, that's mine.... all mine.

I've purchased Wii + Xbox 360 games for her in the past but she never plays them for more than 30 minutes.
(Mario Galaxy, Animal Crossing, Left 4 Dead and Perfect Dark Zero.)
She too busy watching tv or working so meh, oh well.

But yeah, back on topic a bit... stapling the foiltrays together is a great idea. I think a friend of mine has one of those huge staplers you can fire across rooms.
