Launch Error, with debug report

<div class="IPBDescription">can't launch</div>Hello all,
I recently pre-ordered NS2 and downloaded it on steam. My issue is that when I try to launch the game I get a debug report that says "The application has encountered a fatal error, A debug report has been generated with the files below". The files it shows are log.txt and minidump.dmp and I have no clue what those files are.
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!!
btw I have tried re-installing.

    Post the minidump.dmp here, open it in notepad.

    Are you trying to launch the game itself with standard edition? It always pop up a bug report afterward for me because alpha's restricted to special edition :P

    Or you're talking about the launch pad, in which case I don't have a clue ><

    oh jeeze really is that why? because it's the standard edition? Dang sorry guys i'm a bit slow today -_- . PsiWarp, do you know when we can play it?

    No worries mate, and standard edition will grant access to beta when it's ready. From the looks of the state of alpha, it shouldn't take years :P

    But I honestly have no idea, we'll just have to stick around for it.
