Server Memory Leak

<div class="IPBDescription">please get a hotfix out</div>Please try to quickly make a hotfix for the giant server memory leak which causes the server to eat up around 1mb per second until it runs out of RAM.

Other than the memory leak, server performance seems to be fine!!!

    Confirmed. I'm seeing it also, crashes around 1.5GB here even though there's plenty of memory left.

    This seems to be an issue especially when player count is over ~10

    Believe this may be linked to the connection spam, I limited connections to a small range of IP's, memory usage is hovering around 550 and has not gone up.

    I started a local server just with me on it and it got up to about 1.2 gb of usage and crashed, so it's not external connections. My ping also started around 50 ms and went up to 180 by the end, which I really don't understand. Of course that's after the first time I tried this, when it told me there was an error connecting to 127.0.0.1 which really confused me. Restarting let me connect (to myself) but I'm definitely getting memory eaten up.

    @BobTheJanitor: When running a local game you're always running both a client and a server, so if there is ever any "processing lag" on either one your ping will fluctuate a bit.

    The game has always used 1+ gb of memory. It's partly due to it being a deferred rendering pipeline. Although, I have to admit 1.5 gb and up just seems excessive.

    even with a local server you may still be getting hit with connection attempts, depending on your firewall settings, and if lan was selected, and if it actually hides lan games lol.

    Working as intended, the 6th alien class (Server Eater) was added at the last minute to balance out the flamethrower which is way OP.

    it's actually not completely overpowered if aliens have a couple of lifeforms that are running decent fps. whips guarding your hives cuts down on a lot of spawncamping.

    Here's an example of the memory leak on a server; unfortunately when it reaches 1-1.7GB it seems the server crashes.

    3pm is when the beta patch was deployed to the server.
