Use Blink!

<div class="IPBDescription">it owns.</div> I dunno if there has been a topic on this yet or not, but I'm surprised at how many people don't realize how good blink can be. I've been saved many times by blinking into a marine base, thrashing their turret factory, and blinkning out. Blinking in and out of these places saves you from the damage you would normally take from just running in. You can also get away/sneak up on marines. Most marines don't really expect you to just teleport behind them and whack em. Also, if you have cloaking, and you need to get somewhere without uncloaking, use blink.     actully i use blink in 2 diff situations. to move around faster, and with more manuvarability, and to sneak attack Marines. thats it. im sure there are better uses. 3 things i wanna see. 1: no more blinking into walls! in the manual it states they blinked to the other side of a wall, why cant i do that? 2: have an attack at the end of a blink, kinda like leap or charge. ok like if i blink INTO a marine, like right in front of him, i spend a second going to claw. Why not claw when he stops moving? or have it auto switch back to claw? ah one can dream <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> 3:not WAY cheaper to use, but cheaper! its insanely expensive for something that onyl works half the time! make it work, and RIGHT all the time, then i wont mind the cost so much. ok? thats it rant over thanks, and no i dont have any special tactics, exept use bile bomb or acid rockets and take turret facts. have lurk backup, its faster. and get move towers b4 sense!!! fook all over coak if i can fire more acid rockets!

    What i dont like about blink is i want to blink and as soon as i land i wanna slash a marine but i have to change weapon. Also you have to aim at an angle pointing upwards to blink.

    Someone told me that you were able to do that in ver. 1.00, but they scrapped it in 1.01 cause a bunch of people got errors or something. I dunno. =P

    No. I tried it on my own server, numeric damage, bots and cheats, all on. No indication of damage <u>at all</u>.
    But Im sure it was supposed to...

    I'd like to know that myself as well. I know I've done it a few times, but I have no clue how I did it. Horray for dumb luck. Do you need to aim at the floor, wall, enemy, the void, what? Does it require massive ammounts of energy?

    You have to be a fade with two active hives. It's your third weapon. When you fire, it will teleport you forward until any part of you hits something. To make blinking easier, duck jump before firing (so you dont hit the roof or the floor along the way).

    It doesn't matter what you aim at, you'll just instantly end up there. Blink as a swipe attack at the end of it, so it will uncloak you, and it will damage marine you run into. It doesn't require very much energy, you could probably blink 4 or 5 times successfully before needing a recharge (without adren). You can tell if a blink failed because you will simply swipe the air feebly).

    I'd like a final word on the blink swipe at the end doing dmg...

    cause i've never seen a blink kill, and if it did to dmg, i'd certainly like to try it out...

    My beef with blink is that it dosent work 99.999% of the time, so its like:

    Oh look! A guy in heavy armor with an overpowered heavy machine gun! Blink! (slashes feebly into the air) Go damn you! Blink! Blink! Blink! (Slash,Slash,Slash)

    BANG BANG BANG alien goo all over the place, gg
