I would disagree. Reddit has a pretty big influence on the internet. Its still the internet, and theres a lot of trollish types there, but if you can appeal the to hivemind you're good.
Everyone should go to that post and upvote.
Probably you should say on an small portion of the USA users of Internet.
Threads like "###### you Treyarch" etc etc for the entire first page - and thats after a post-release patch.
So yeah :P I don't think we have it too bad.
