I suggest that instead of listening to whiners all day, you release some of the source code in problematic areas, and put in the best contributor's work in each area with a small cash bonus, like $100 or so. It would turn into a contest, and you'd have some cheap labor from some people who might have gone through this kind of stuff before. It would also reduce a lot of the QQing by giving them the ability to try to fix it themselves.

EDIT: Also, you could give them some in-game bonuses, like some special armor or something.
