Changing between skills/weapons

changing between skills for aliens specificly is slow and clunky.
you have to press the button (1 or 2) like 3 times and do nothing before it actually changes, i hope this doesnt make it to the retail version those few seconds to change weapon/skill can be your life.
I hope you understand i could try explain it better, but im sure theres other people that have noticed it.
What do use think? is it slow, will it be fixed?
