Additional game modes

Just having a look at the options when creating a server and i noticed that beside the normal ns2 mode there's also 'faceoff' and 'MvM' (going to assume it means marine v marine).

Anyone know much about these / has any info been released for them yet?

I think faceoff is essentially going to be what combat is now.

MvM was tons of fun in NS1.

I remember hours of it on Counter-Strike levels.

What i also don't get is why no servers ever host the other official map junction. Currently all the servers either host rockwell or tram. I am not saying they are bad maps in any way but i've looked at junction and i think it would be interesting to try it out online.

Maybe some servers should try experimenting with MvM and with junction, cause so far i have not seen any servers hosting junction.

Imho Junction seems really boring and is only viable for testing purposes..
(And its called "Rockdown")

Yeah Marine vs Marine was pretty fun. Had some errors though that would crash the entire server.

I think it's kind of cool, even though the marines common enemy are the Aliens it's like there is still conflict going on between factions of the Marines and two wars are being waged.
