Empty servers

Seriously, we need to get rid of those performance and lag problems. No one is playing anymore; we have seen the features now, but we can't play. I'm not mad or complaining or whatever, I only wnat to say, that a beta test doesn't work with an unplayable game....I mean, I can wait, but this game needs to be tested...or doesn't it?

if you join a server... i've found that more people will follow quickly. for some reason no one wants to go first. there is still some fun to be had - avoid spamming hydras/turrets.

This drop in player numbers happens gradually after every initial update. People join to see whats new, have some fun, then stop playing because the game is still in the early stages and there's lot to be added and improved.

I've got everything I wanted out of the recent update, just don't play now because it's really unbalanced and too predictable.

The devs have more than enough feedback for future updates and when they're released the numbers will go back up like they always do.

there are still people who play. compared to the servers being empty the day after the patch during alpha.

Might be a bad time that you're checking. Whenever I get home from work, there are several nearly full servers and a few partially populated ones. This is the first patch where people have continued to play, which is a good sign!

needed a team of dedicated vets who nurture the game like it's their own child, not quotidian hurpies who care only for playing and not for balancing, testing, or bug reporting

this was foreseeable, it's now proven

Ya this sucks. This is why the devs need to pump out a new patch twice a week... so the people stop leaving (to spend the intermediate time playing better games) while the devs work on the next patch.

Well, I share most of my experiences with the devs, but all good intentions come to a point, where balancing, testing and bug reporting is not really possible anymore. Maybe I can kill a GL with a Fade; I will never know - with 15 FPS it's not possible anyway. I would love to give my opinion to those things, I think I'm not a bad NS1-Player.

Well, maybe my intention with this thread was to get the devs to work on performance first, because personally I'd have rather a smooth experience than all alien-com-Icons in the Beta.
But I'm not a programmer, they know what they do, I think. Just a hint.

    Peace.
