MAC/Marine Heavy Idea

<div class="IPBDescription">stationary</div>I was thinking about heavies and how they could be implemented in this new NS2. After seeing all these changes with building things, all you have to do is put a MAC on it and off he goes. I miss the challenge of having to build and watch out for aliens that may be lerking around. Or even the challenge of doing ANYTHING else other than just fighting, that's all it has become :( Maybe we can have terminals to access MACs to control them and run around with them as our first person view.

Anyways, since MAC's are automated I was thinking maybe a commander for building a heavy could drop a "heavy station" which in essence is like a commander's chair but without the protection. The marine then takes control of a robot basically and runs it around to fight. This requires the marines to constantly defend their main base if they're off to attack a hive or something because their main force (a wall of heavies) can easily be decimated by a single skulk in base.

Please remember this is just an idea I was randomly thinking of in class. I highly doubt it would ever be implemented but I had fun thinking of it hehe. I can easily see this being underpowered and rendering heavies useless or whatever but I thought it would be fun to maybe run around first person in a building robot or fighting robot.
