The online results show the last 6 votes placed. Some guys marked down the results for a few hours to produce a sample. The online results also show from which category the top 5 games are. Sample matched the online category winners. I guess it helps only a few games are receiving most of the votes.
Oh.. and the online counter also shows votes cast by category.. all in all.. not a very 'hidden' count. Whether this is by design to encourage competitive voting.. or because this is the first year its been run like this :/
Actually it's not, there have actually been a dozen or so games before minecraft which have been the same concept, minecraft just built upon that concept a little
More than a little. And it's still building.
Anyway, I voted for NS2, but I think Minecraft deserves 1st place.
You realise that all Minecraft classic was, was block building
Minecraft Alpha is just block building.. with zombies

You've obviously not actually played the Alpha... for more than 2min, at least.
Ignorance gets you no where.
But ns2 deserves best up-coming "/
Stealth looks great (assymetrical tactical shooter) but its 2 v 2 and uses the unreal engine

Never heard of project stealth though. :V
Project Stealth is a direct rip off of Splinter Cells multiplayer.
edit: It's also strange that Project Stealth has ~6000 votes, yet has ~1/5 (320 members / 1,745 members ) the watchers compared to NS2.

Again take the above with a pinch of salt. Just two guys watching the results at the end of the day. They are likely wrong!
Yeah, I think so too.

Go play it for about a week. You'll find it's not just 3D tetris with a sword and a zombie.
Twenty four thousand dollar question [pay no attention to forum theory above.. they are wrong] is who is the first person shooter in second http://www.indiedb.com/events/2010-indie-o...ards/scoreboard
If its a released game then NS2 will win the unreleased indie of the year
If its an unreleased game then not
o gaud I hope its not nuclear dawn :(
ns2hd's latest video would be a good add http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqCaXbgCQ8Y

Oh, trust me, I have. I enjoy Minecraft - it's a fun game that you can waste a lot of hours on. My point is simply that it's not as original or innovative as you fanboys seem to think it is.
