Gifting Question

How do i purchase copies of the game and gift them? Is there a way through steam? I like their gift method. I hope it isnt "Here is a key". but if it is at least is helping the team. =) Looking to buy 5.

I guess that as long as the game is not available through steam store, you cannot gift it via the steam gift option. So you'd have to gift it manually by handing out the key.

thats what i did. preorder a game and just give them the key, works for me. You can even write the key on a lovely card :)

But with just giving the key out can they tie it to there own email address and make an account here? Thought it auto tied it to your Paypal account email :(

The key is only sent to you, they can redeem the key trough adding the game in the steam library (add a game). Most likely scenario :P

I have gifted several keys. I purchased under my Email after the key was sent to me I sent it to the recipient then they selected add a game from their steam game library (bottom of page) and that key is forever bound to that steam account. I used my same email for all 4 purchases and everyone gifted never seen a receipt.
