How do you select your (personal) upgrades as an alien?

    there are currently no personal upgrades and i don't think we heard anything about plans for them. That does not mean that they will not exist. Some upgrades are already in, like armor/attack update, but they are for the whole team.

    However placeholders are in place. On the buy menu (where you chose your lifeform) you'll see a couple of greyed-out icons. Clicking those will morph you the upgrade once they're implemented.

    Skulks "Running Leap" is the only one currently and it works pretty well :P

    It's inside the Evolve menu. When you click on evolve you can see selected the life-form you are now (close to the center of the screen) and below it you have every personal upgrade.
    Just take into consideration (read post above).

    I think Gorges get "Build Hydra" as well? Both it and Running Leap are activated automatically - hydras from start, leap once researched - so being able to evolve them is weird.

    running leap is NOT selected automatically. Once researched, you must select it, but you will still have it from that point on upon every spawn.

    It is kinda confusing though, I think they should do something along the lines of

    <!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->Skulk

    >skulk image here<

    # upgrade(s) available<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->

    Would make it more clear that you can actually upgrade, instead of the tiny icons that should show you right now :P

    Thanks everyone. I was wondering if I was doing something wrong. And I didn't know I had to click somewhere to get running leap.

    skulks - weak leap compared to ns1 skulks, but playable

    lerks - great spore effect, amazing spikes. Only thing getting used to is not being able to bite

    fade - poor aiming system, and very slow compared ns1 fade. blink special effect only looks good.

    between these choices, i've always went with skulks or lerks but recently mostly lerks. I enjoy flying, and giving long range support.

    Hmm, maybe the lerk snipe ability should be researched? You could still zoom either way, but without the upgrade it'd just be regular spikes (with zoom). It IS pretty powerful if you can just get the aiming down.

    theres a bug with the skulk running leap. once u evolve ur mini leap to running leap and NOT change into any other class than skulk and a NEW game starts, u still get the running leap =p

    Can anyone confirm this bug/mini-exploit??
