Can we have a version of the new trailer in 1080p with high graphics enabled? The trailer seems awesome, but the graphics and picture quality seem horrible. Thanks.
It's most likely exclusive for a few more days for Destructoid (I guess that's one of the sites they contacted?) and RockPaperShotgun, then it'll be uploaded to YouTube.

Like the minute difference in performance makes any difference on modern PCs? Maybe if you have a mid-range out-the-box computer, but the average computer could do a 1080p Xvid/DivX without any issues.

Resolution is not everything. In fact it's one of the least important things, and only matters when the bases (source material, encoder, quality settings etc.) are covered. This can be noted on Youtube a lot. I've seen videos in 360p (usually on professional channels) that are much better looking than most of the 1080p videos on other channels.
The trailer is rendered in 32mpbs avg/40mbps peak h.264 1080p29.97 (For all you video tech lovers out there) from uncompressed source material. So you will see versions appearing that are of much higher quality than the RPS Viddler version. It all depends on the host - YouTube compresses to around 4mpbs for it's 1080p videos, not sure what Viddler does. Anyone looking for a super high quality version, fear not - It just needs to be hosted :).

(around 720p @ 4mbps x264 is gorgeous compared to 1080p xvid) Lower resolution just so happens to play smoother on more computers, take less power on notebooks, use less bandwidth and stream better. (xvid is lighter on decode, though) You really have to look closely to notice the improvements 1080p brings in most types of videos.

That file must be around 650MB for only two and a half minutes. You could save yourself some upload time by using a smaller bitrate, unless you have some proof that an overkill bitrate works better for youtube conversion.

It's just a master copy... I wish I could go around uploading 32mpbs movies lol.

But captain, we just exceeded our upload limit!

Mid-range computers are average by definition.
