How to Test Solo

I was wondering if there's any way to have a game start without other players, or if there are any bots out to join the other team (don't need to be functional). I want to test out basic gameplay on a few levels

    just type cheats 1 in the console to start the game, friendly fire is on so you are able to hurt your own structures.
