Question on lerk+commander

if the lerk spores in the command station just before a marine goes in, will the marine be dead?

if he lives... isnt this a mistake and a unrealistic part of the game XD?

how does he breathe?

Im not worried about realism in this aspect of the game. I am more worried about Game Play and the effect certain things have on the flow of the game.

It's nice when games are realistic. But not when it comes at the sacrafice of certain game play elements that keep the game balanced and fun.

Also when you enter the chair if you listen you can hear what seems to be some sort of respirator. Like a fighter pilots oxygen mask. So it seems like UWE has already thought about this. So I would assume the chair has some sort of respirator assuming the TSA already anticipated lerk spore attacks around the command chair.

Another thing. Marines have been killed while entering the chair by spores or skulks biting them before the command center fully closes, it just opens its self back up again.

when the marine goes into the command chair he is linked into the life support system of the chair, which means that he will not breath the gas the lerk put into the chair.

    It's totaly realistic

You should create a "Questions - by louis cardinal" thread. You've have 4 threads on the front page ;) Just a suggestion for cleanliness.

Then the black marine should be immune to spore damage

Nope, that gas mask only filters dust in the environment. The air filtration system in the command station is much more sophisticated. Look it up in the lore.

The gas mask has less nanites than the command station.

And the spores aren't inhaled. They just eat stuff.
