AVP Smartgun skin compatibility

Hi,
I downloaded an AVP skins conversion pack the other day on Bry. A great skins pack for Natural Selection btw, but I'm sure most of the old players notice that the Smartgun can only works with the pack soldier and heavies model.
I really want to keep the vanilla Heavy and use it along with the smartgun model, but the problem is in game the gun keep appear on the Heavy's face rather than in his hands. So I was wonder if anyone has converted a heavy model that work with the smartgun.
