Cannot even start the game..

I click play through steam, the game loads in and then crashes right when it comes into the lobby..

Anyone else having this problem?

I just preordered today, and it has been extremely choppy (only got into one server) and now I cannot even start the game.

Just wanted to see if anyone was having the same problem.

I had a similar problem. I deleted NS2 local content and re downloaded and it was fixed.

Close any applications that are trying to play videos even in the background (even web pages on youtube) as that always break launching for me.

yeah you need a quadcore if you want to watch porn and play ns2 at the same time.

I have a quadcore and the game still doesn't run this patch. Do I have to turn the pr0nz on simultaneously while playing to get it to work?

Also you might want to set all 3d settings to application for NS2, I once had it forced on FSAA and NS2 hired a hitman to take me out...
