Alot more black screen since the new update

I'm not sure what the cause is, but I can't seem to join low ping - servers with players anymore since the update on full screen. Windowed I can still get it..

I already tried deleting the game and downloading it again but it did not had the desired effect.

My current solution is joining a server on windowed mode and then switch to full screen..

Im then fine in the rr but alot of connection problems once I try to join a team..
Once joined and spawned I'm fine again until I die then I'm getting more connection problems..and it repeats :)

As a fix I tried to get in the com chair but then I had more connection problems..until I managed to get out ;-)

So short review:
- Black screen when joining low ping servers (connection problems?)
- Fine when in rr and less when ingame but still to much
- Connection problems when waiting to spawn
- Connection problems when getting in a command seat

The patch is a step backwards for me on network issues...

For me its the opposite, i had many blackscreens in tram alien expansion corridor (160) , which are now fixed in 161.

But playing on Weaselsserver i always end up with a blackscreen after the round was won, and all were spawned in rr (scoreboard-lua).
While other servers (eg skulkrushs) tend to have the blackscreen only when they crash.

(steam-community-disabled if its still related to connectionprobs)

In 160 I've always been spammed to death by connection problems messages.. but I just ignore them, it was perfectly playable. Haven't tried 161 yet but I recommend you clear out your %APPDATA% Natural Selection 2 folder, then start the game. If that doesn't work, reinstall NS2.

Alternatively, you could wait for the next build.. which is my current strategy.

As I said I already tried that. The black screen is only upon joining, I think it's caused by connection problems rather then by a graphical bug..

The thing thats interesting that this only happens on low ping servers, I'm fine on 300+ ping servers, well kinda, but Im having tons of problems on a 50 ping server..

You are literally going to have to wait until 162. Like I have to. There's a lot of denial about this patch not causing problems. It's a step back for me in every single facet of being able to run the game.

yeah you have to use fraps or something else cause the in-game screenshot doesn't work right now

Print Screen tends to work for me.

Yep. more black screens in tram for me. Seems like holes (errors) in the map, because I could walk in and out of it.
