<div class="IPBDescription">question to insane</div>So it is easy like this? They are against my concerns, start spamming the thread and the thread is closed? I did not brake the rules, they did. I told them 3 times, that they are breaking the rules of this forum. Now you punished me, not them. My thread will go to the bottom and we will never get an answer, if scripts will be allowed or not.

The dark side won - this time.

Edit: Of course I was not aware how this topic sucks - should have known, of course. I am sorry if anyone felt disturbed by me mentioning scripts.

    To answer your question: the game logic is written entirely in LUA script because we want it to be as moddable as possible. The server list will have a filter so you can choose between vanilla NS2 and modded NS2. I don't know the degree to which this affect the sort of client-side scripting that we saw in NS1, but I expect that this hasn't really been nailed down yet, as there's so much still to work on.

    There have been countless threads on the topic of scripts and every single one of them has degenerated into the same argument. You are free to search the forums any time you like for threads about it. Instead of getting angry with me, look at it from my perspective; this is another thread on a familiar topic going the same way as all of its predecessors. It's just stirring up the same old arguments and dying in flames, so of course I'm going to lock it. And instead of viewing it as some kind of personal punishment, consider the fact that there might be a wider context to things that happen here.

    Next time, if you want to dispute something, please use the private message function and talk to me personally instead of starting a new thread.
