As a crazy fan, I would like to help

You know that Cancer research thing? where you download the program on your PC or PS3 and you can decode some stuff and it'll contribute to unlocking the mysteries behind cancerous cells or something?

Is there anything that an ordinary person could do? Something along the lines of that?
I'd just like to help in any way possible. I'm crazy about NS but I dunno ###### about programming or game development or anything so I was wondering if there was anything I or people in similar shoes as me help?

Best thing you can do is spread the word and get as many people as possible to buy ns2!

Well one thing, dont start so many topics in a hurry... clutters up the forums without leaving much discussion.

You help by buying a copy of the game , reporting bugs on via the Feedback or F1 mechanism ( basically sends you to Getsatisfaction ) - just ensure you search there to see if the bug has been reported , tell your mates and circle of influence about the game.

Dang, I'm impatient man. I've done all of those things! Report bugs, spread the word to many of my friends in high school! Introduce NS2HD! Just thinking like, technical side of things. Bought spec. edition too!

Sounds like you're talking about <a href="http://folding.stanford.edu/English/Main" target="_blank">Folding@home</a> which uses your computer to analyse protein folding and misfolding. NS2 doesn't really have any comparable requirements for analysis, but we do need help promoting the game! Check out the <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=102680" target="_blank">E-Team</a> and see if there's anything you can do there.

You could have a go at map making, try getting good by the time the game is released and bring out a few quality maps, it would increase variety and help make ns2 a success!

I wonder if there will be an option to donate, and maybe get sth like the constellation star in ns1. Being a tard when it comes to programming or handling an editor, this would be a nice way for me to support the team.

Considering on how much time i spent playing ns1 compared to my expensive waste of time in wow it would only be fair to pay a little more

You might be able to get in as a play tester.

    From <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/2010/12/ns2_build_158_released" target="_blank">12/3/10</a>
"<i>We are in need of some dedicated, unpaid testers to help discover and reproduce bugs. If you can commit a good amount of time to playing our pre-release builds, are able to jump onto our server quickly for a test at a moment's notice and are willing to provide clear details (screenshots, reproduction steps) to reproduce bugs, we need you!

We are looking for about 20-30 playtesters in a variety of time-zones to start. If you're interested, please write us at tester@unknownworlds.com.</i>"
