the caretaker
I know a lot of people would like to see the gorge have a more active building role in the game.
One way to do this would be to have the gorge be a bit like a gardner

The gorge should be able to take care of the commander's buildings once they've been built by:

Being able to relocate commander structures onto walls and ceilings (something the commander can't really do from that view)
Use gorge spit as a kind of "laser designator" to guide the commanders drifters, so the building can be built somewhere other than floor initially
spread the DI using healspray
Any other ideas? :)

I think kinda satisfies both sides of the alien commander/gorge arguement :)

Hmm, we'll have to take into account of griefing with the building relocation; I don't think I'll like some random Gorge moving my tactically placed buildings without permission but it's an interesting thought. Although, the Shift is also supposedly able to relocate buildings or Drifters around the map with Echo.

I do like DI spread acceleration with Heal Spray, more bacteria = more moss!

well it shouldn't be too hard to put in a "structure locked" button for the commander to click on.
other thing is, that another alien commander can jump into another hive and move your buildings around anyway

but i know what you mean, if some troll starts being a troll and starts moving things about just to annoy you then it might be a problem.

That's a lot of micromanagement for the comm though, on larger maps with lots of buildings. By the time you notice the griefing, it'll be too late to lock buildings.

    Alright idea though.
